It wouldn't be right to not include England's most capped outfield player, David Beckham. While never enjoying marked success at any major tournaments, his skill levels and commitment to the cause could never be spoken against. A superb leader of the nation on and off the pitch, Beckham captained England on numerous occasions over a number of years, and in total earned an astonishing 115 caps scoring 17 times. No England fan will ever forget that free-kick in September 2001 against Greece, the last gasp goal which sent us to the World Cup in Japan and South Korea 2002. A worthy winner of this position, un-deniably. An iconic figure.
Next up we'll name the two central midfield players, a difficult call which is sure to spring up much debate!
