Sunday's Update

Let's start with current sport. With the French Open now completed, there isn't an abundance of live sport to feast on, but there is plenty to be kept occupied with.

Cricket - Is the Test going to be a draw? We all thought that at Cardiff, and the rest is history. Sri Lanka at 11.5/1 (betfair) is a reasonable shout, and one I would encourage many punters to go with. England look down and out, and Jayawardne looked in sparkling form late into day 3, so a huge lead is on the cards. An even better, or safer bet would be 10/1 on the draw (betfred), with more rain and badlight forecast. Domestically, Somerset look nailed on early favourites to for the FL T20 Cup, so watch out for them. Dark-horses would include Glamorgan, off the back of a superb win over Middlesex Friday night.

Top sites for cricket betting would have to go to betfair, offering a wide range of specials and selections. Kevin Pietersen at 2.02 for a 50 looks a good bet also, from betfair. KP has a knack of hitting form when under pressure, and he's certainly there now. Go on, have a flutter, the potential success outweighs the potential disappointment!

Next post will be tackling up and coming football. The Premiership may have gone, that ship's sailed, but look out for the U21 Euros, and the Women's World Cup. And, of course, an array of foreign football will be covered, a market often forgotten, yet exceptionally lucrative!
