England vs India - 2nd Test Match - Day 2

England: 221 (68.4 overs) - Broad 64, Strauss 32, Kumar 3-45, Sharma 3-66.
India: 288 (91.1 overs) - Dravid 117, Yuvraj 62, Broad 6-46, Bresnan 2-48.
England: 24-1 (11.0 overs) - Bell 9*, Strauss 6*, Sharma 1-9.

India started the 2nd Day brightly and reached 267-4, before Broad took 5 wickets for 0 runs off 16 balls, including a hat-trick to dismiss India all out for 288, a lead of 67. Earlier in the day, India looked set for a big total with Laxman scoring 54, Yuvraj scoring 62 and Dravid scoring 117, before Broad's hat-trick caused a batting collapse allowing the bowler to get 6 wickets for the innings, with Bresnan and Anderson both taking 2 wickets. England then lost Cook early for 5, having been caught off Sharma's bowling. Strauss and Bell (batting at 3 because of Trott's injured shoulder) saw England through to the close at 24-1.

Also... Sebastian Vettel took pole by 0.163 seconds from Lewis Hamilton, with Jensen Button 3rd. And finally... TacticalBet got 3 out of 4 predictions correct for today's SPL fixtures, with Rangers and Hibernian's wins and Motherwell's draw, with only St Mirren v Aberdeen going against our bet with a home win for St Mirren.

Keep looking at our twitter page, which can be found on the right hand side of this page, for updates throughtout the cricket and formula 1 tomorrow, as well as handy betting tips.

Weekend Sport

This weekend sees the second week of SPL fixtures and the return of Formula 1, with the Hungarian Grand Prix, taking place.

Formula 1 - Hungary

A safe bet for pole would be Sebastian Vettel, priced at 1.83. Red Bull should go well round this track and Vettel is priced at 2.66 to win on Sunday. However here at TacticalBet, we are backing Lewis Hamilton in the McLaren to take pole, priced 5.2, with Fernando Alonso taking the race win on Sunday, priced 4.1. The McLaren has been quick in practice, and Ferrari's race pace is probably the quickest out there, especially in the hands of 2-times world champion Alonso.

SPL - Week 2

St Johnstone v Rangers
Inverness CT v Hibernian
Kilmarnock v Motherwell
St Mirren v Aberdeen
Hearts v Dundee Utd

In the SPL this week the big game is on Sunday, with Hearts taking on Dundee Utd. We are backing Dundee Utd for an away win priced at 4.1. For the other 4 games on Saturday, we expect Rangers to win priced at 1.52, Hibernian to win priced at 3.5, Motherwell to draw with Kilmarnock priced at 3.4, and Aberdeen to win with match odds of 2.92.

Thanks for reading and good luck!

England vs India - 2nd Test Match - Day 1

England: 221 (68.4 overs) - Broad 64, Strauss 32, Kumar 3-45, Sharma 3-66.
India: 24-1 (15.0 overs) - Laxman 13*, Dravid 7*, Anderson 1-10.

India took control of the 1st day at Trent Bridge, having put England into bat in overcast bowler-friendly conditions. Kumar, Sharma and Sreesanth all took 3 wickets as a mixture of good swing-bowling and erratic shots reduced England to 221 all out just after tea with only Broad making a real contribution, a swashbuckling 64 off 66 balls. With the ball still swinging Anderson removed Indian opener Mukund first ball, before Dravid and Laxman saw India to the close of play on 24-1. England will hope the conditions stay similar to today's to give them the best chance of rattling through the Indian line-up tomorrow. With the game moving on quickly, how about a bet on the test match to finish on the 4th day morning at 6, or maybe you fancy backing Tendulker to top-score for India tomorrow at 4.2?

Check back tomorrow morning for a look at this weekends SPL fixtures, as well as a look at the Hungarian GP. And remember to check the twitter and facebook pages for updates and handy tips throughout tomorrows cricket. Links to the sites are on the right-hand side. Cheers!

England vs India - 2nd Test Match

At 11am Friday morning, England take on India at Trent Bridge, for the 2nd test match in the series. England lead the series 1-0 after a convincing 196 run victory at Lords. England would hope to name an unchanged team for the 2nd test but pace bowler Chris Tremlett is a doubt through injury. For India, left-arm seamer Zaheer Khan has been ruled out due to injury after limping off on the 1st day at Lords. England have been made favourites for the test at 2.08, with India at 4.8, and the draw at 3.1. If England can get Tremlett fit for the test then in our opinion they have a great chance of winning the test having bowled India out for less than 300 in both innings at Lords. India's pace attack also looked weak after losing Zaheer Khan and the news that he is out of the second test only confirms England's status as favourites.

Also... Sergio Aguero looks set to complete a £35million switch from Athletico Madrid to Manchester City after agreeing a 5 year deal. A clever, agile, dangerous striker who can create a chance out of nothing, it will be a joy to watch Aguero in the Premier League, as long as he can cope with the physicality. An intresting bet... he is at 16/1 to be top scorer this season!

Thanks for reading, and be sure to check back over the next few days for all the test match info, as well as the second week of SPL fixtures. Cheers!

TB's Update

Just a quick note to keep you up to speed with what's going on this week. Football wise, there is a select few games in the UEFA Champions league tonight, including Rangers vs Malmo, which could be worth a look at. The Gers favourites at 1.5. In cricket, Gloucestershire face Essex, and Warwickshire against Hampshire, both in the CB 40. Our tips here would be Simon Grayson's Essex side to claim an away win, 1.47, and Hampshire to do likewise - after they thrashed Northamptonshire last night in the same competition - they're at 2.14.

Coming up soon, we'll be looking at this weekend's SPL fixtures, and the 2nd Test between England and India at Trent Bridge, which begins this Friday at 11am.

So keep an eye out for those updates, and thanks for reading once again! Today's 'Video Gallery' is some clips from the 1st test match, yesterday.

The 2011 Copa America Final

Uruguay vs Paraguay is the clash we've got ourselves for the final in Argentina, after the seemingly big names fell away at earlier stages. However, this doesn't mean it won't be a classic by any stretch of the imagination, so have a bet, and tune to ESPN at 8 to catch the action. Peru have already secured 3rd spot, with Venezuela taking 4th. This, the 26th match of the tournament, is the biggest.

Uruguay 2.1
Paraguay 4.6

Paraguay are obvious underdogs, but they've done well to reach this stage and with only a single game remaining, anything could happen. However, we do still at TacticalBet believe Uruguay will win, it you're a backer of the underdog, Paraguay aren't without hope. Nelson Valdez and Roque Santa Cruz are a formidable front line at this level. Uruguay boast Luis Suarez and Diego Forlan as theirs, but it's also worth nothing their back line, instrumental in the 2-0 semi final success over Peru. Diego Lugano is a fantastic leader and defender, the Althetico star one to keep an eye on.

Correct score?

1-0 Uruguay - 6.2
2-0 Uruguay - 9.4
0-1 Paraguay - 10
1-1 - 7.6

First goalscorer?

Suarez - 5.9
Forlan 6.6
Cavani - 8.8
Santa Cruz - 13
Valdez - 13

Those are some options, but our tips would have to go with Uruguay 2-0 winners, with Suarez as first goalscorer. The 1-0 is also an option, and as for Paraguay, we can't see them scoring more than once, so them to win 0-1 if you're backing them. It's sure to be a great occasion in Argentina.

So, once again thanks for reading, and we here hope you win some good money betting on the game! Today's 'Video Gallery' is highlights and action from a select few games in the competition to date.

TB's Update

Following the conclusion of both The Open in Kent, and the Women's World Cup in Germany, there is a lull in the sporting action for a few days. As celebration of Darren Clarke's victory, he's our man in the 'Video Gallery' today. However, there is of course the England - India series beginning with the 1st test on Thursday at Lords.

England are placed at 3.55 to claim a win, with counter-parts India at 6.1 to achieve the same feat. However, it is worth nothing that rain is forecast to play a part, particularly in the opening few days, so a draw could be a more likely outcome at 1.86.

Strauss to be England's best batsmen in the first innings? 5.6. He hit form in a recent warm-up game for Somerset against the tourists, so that could be a winning bet.

Kevin Pietersen to outscore Sachin Tendulkar over the match? 2.05. 'The Little Master' doesn't have a great record at Lords, and hasn't played a great deal of cricket over the past few months after being rested from the tour of West Indies, so again a potential winning bet.

India to win the toss and field? 2.24. Obviously the winning of the toss is a lottery, but it must be noted that the conditions suggest that bowling first will be a sure fire option for whoever wins it, and it's 50/50 that it'll be India.

Our reporters will be there live on both Thursday and Friday to bring you live updates and tips as the day progresses, so keep a close eye on the Facebook and Twitter pages for such updates. Links to these can be found on the side of this page.

The Open - Day 2

As The Open's first day draws to a close in Kent, there are many opportunities out there to earn some money. Dane Thomas Bjorn (check him out in our video gallery) leads the way after carding a 65, alongside amateur Tom Lewis, and they are now at 24 and 42 respectively. British wise, Lee Westwood (15) and Luke Donald (22) remain in contention and are worth a look at, while US champion Rory McIlroy is at 14.5. All could make charges into the remaining days.

In terms of other bets to consider, check out Miguel Angel Jimenez to finish in the top 10, at 3.4. As well as him, Sergio Garcia could be a good bet to do the same, he's at 4.2.

Playoff to decide the winner? 3.7.

Keep a close eye on the second day, could be some movers up the field,, and with in play markets make sure you're ready to make the right bet at the right time.

The Open

A big 4 days of golf down in Kent lie ahead with plenty of markets to make some money on for all you punters.

Rory McIlory (17/2) and Lee Westwood (11/1) lead the field and it would take a brave man to bet against a European winner this week. Odds on a winner from GB and Ireland are as low as 11/8 this week with and a winner from continental Europe 5/1.

Our big tips include: Graeme McDowell each way at around 30/1. He has the pedigree to perform at the big tournaments and has also found a bit of form in recent weeks.

K.J Choi is also very good value for an each way bet at 50/1.

McIlory often tends to start well and is 11/1 to do the same and be the leader after round one.

A hole in one at anytime in the week? Just 11/8 with most bookies.

Good luck to all you punters, TB are going to plump for world number one Luke Donald at 12/1 as we hope he can continue his winning form from the Scottish Open.

Today's Top Tip

Northamptonshire vs Lancashire

FL T20
We at TB are firmly tipping the Northants Steelbacks to win this clash, despite their poor form. Odds wise, they're outsiders at 3's, with Lancs placed at 1.5. Yet, an inconsistent Lancashire side have been poor away from home, and Northants will want to go out on a high. We're backing them to win this one.

A whole host of markets on this game can be found with online betting, from most sixes, to methods of dismissal. Worth taking a look at!

England vs Sri Lanka, 4th ODI

Trent Bridge, home of Nottinghamshire, is the arena for today's 4th ODI between the two sides. Sri Lanka, after their win at Lords on Sunday, lead the series 2-1.

England 1.72
Sri Lanka 2.36

And here's some tips from us at TB :

Dilshan to hit a 50 : 2.94

Morgan to be England's top batsman : 6/1

Kieswetter to outscore Cook, 2.2

Off spinner Randiv to be Sri Lanka's top wicket taker, 6.3

The game is crucial for the outcome of the series, so well worth taking a keen interest in. The form book would suggest Sri Lanka, making them our tip for the game. Although, Trent Bridge is notoriously good for fast swing bowling, so England will hope James Anderson can come to the fore. The game is a day-nighter, and there is also a few T20's over the coming days to keep an eye on.
