Premiership - Week 5

The Barclays Premiership continues this weekend with its 5th installement of the 2011/12 season, and it features some huge games. As always we'll do our best to offer predictions, hopefully accurate ones! Usual scenario, odds reflecting result, not correct score.

Blackburn 0-2 Arsenal @ 1.93

Blackburn improved to pick up a point last weekend, but against a resurgent Arsenal side they'll struggle. Expect this to be comfortable.

Aston Villa 1-1 Newcastle @ 3.5

Both sides look solid this season, so a stalemate seems the likliest outcome. Much relies on the performances of the respective key players - Agbonlahor, Heskey, Coloccini and Taylor.

Bolton 3-1 Norwich @ 1.83

After a hammering at the hands of the champions last weekend, Bolton will be keen to respond. Home to Norwich should be simple enough.

Everton 1-0 Wigan @ 1.56

A hard one to predict given their starts, but Everton should have just enough. A lot rests upon Cahill and Fellaini after the departure of Arteta.

Swansea 0-0 West Brom @ 3.35

Don't expect a feast of goals, but if anybody's going to nick it we'd back The Baggies. Swansea look bereft of quality in the final third.

Wolves 2-1 QPR @ 2.04

Wolves look decent this season so far, and no matter how many signings QPR have secured, they've always struggled away from home. Home win.

Tottenham 1-1 Liverpool @ 3.45

Again hard to predict, but a draw seems the safest option. Truely could go either way, Suarez and Carroll key for the away sides chances.

Fulham 0-2 Manchester City @ 1.62

Fulham deserve respect, but after playing on Thursday this could be tricky, and City look almost unstoppable in this format. Aguero or Dzeko to start? Could be a big call.

Sunderland 1-1 Stoke @ 3.3

Like Fulham, Stoke's squad will be stretched. However, Sunderland can't get a win from anywhere at the moment, so 1-1 seems appropriate.

Manchester United 2-1 Chelsea @ 1.89

The biggest game of the weekend, without doubt. Where's your money? Man Utd seem in too good form to be stopped, so Chelsea are up against it. It'll be tight, but expect Rooney to strike a telling blow.

Just a few lower league pick to keep you going :

West Ham

Brighton

Huddersfield

Crawley

We're backing all the above teams to win their respective games.

Thanks for reading, and hopefully these predictions aren't too far off come Sunday evening...
