Bresnan then fell 1 short of his career best as he fell for 90, with England finally bowled out for 544. Indian opener Mukund, who was dismissed first ball in the first innings, narrowly avoided a "king pair" as Bresnan dropped him first ball at second slip. Just before lunch, Broad got the breakthrough with first innings centurian Dravid caught behind for 6. After lunch, England steamrolled their way through the Indian batting line up, with Bresnan taking his first 5-wicket haul (5-48) for England in tests. Only Tendulkar, who failed on his way to his 100th 100, and Harbhajan caused any real issues for England, scoring 56 and 46 respectively, as Bresnan, Anderson and Broad marched through India's batting line up.
